A practice built across the region, continuing in a new form.
NoLimits was founded in Singapore in 2006 to bring high-quality leadership development and executive coaching to the multinational client base operating across Asia Pacific. The work has continued since, through changes in the region, in the firm, and now in the way leadership development itself is delivered.
Where we have worked.
Over twenty years, the work has been delivered across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Japan and the broader regional network. Clients have included global firms (ING, Audi, AXA, American Express, Diageo, Ericsson, Rathbone Trust and others) and regional and local businesses across financial services, insurance, professional services, technology, consumer goods and the public sector.
The current operating context is that NoLimits is a division and trading name of OwnMentor Limited, the UK parent company. The Singapore entity (NoLimits Pte Ltd) is being wound down through 2026, and the practice continues through OwnMentor Limited with the same people and the same approach. Existing client relationships continue uninterrupted.
Who we are.
Janet CropperFounder
Janet founded NoLimits in Singapore in 2006 to bring high-quality leadership development and executive coaching to the multinational client base operating across Asia Pacific. She lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia for over twenty-one years before returning to the UK in 2021, and she continues to deliver coaching and learning programmes across the region from the UK base.
She is the originator of the frameworks that anchor the firm's work, including RAPID, T-GROW, COIN, REAL Dialogue and MENTEES. Her first book, The Hamster who Danced with the Giant: Success in your work, career and life, will be published later this year.
She is a qualified coach through Corporate Coach U, an International Certified Trainer and Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and an accredited psychometric assessor across MBTI, Extended Disc, FIRO-B and OPQ. She is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Her earlier career included ten years in Diageo's Central London HR function and five years with DBM, the global career management consultancy, in Hong Kong and Singapore. She holds an MSc in Training and Performance Management and a degree in European Business Studies with German.
In 2021 she co-founded OwnMentor with Martin to bring AI-powered skills support into the leadership development work she had been delivering for two decades.
Martin CropperCEO
Martin leads the strategy for NoLimits across Asia and Europe, and for OwnMentor in the UK. Across thirty years of corporate and consulting experience, he has designed and delivered leadership development and skills programmes for over fifteen thousand leaders and managers across the UK, Europe and Asia.
His earlier career was in finance and management consulting: Chief Financial Officer at American Express, Finance Director at Diageo, and a management consultant with Prime Strategy. He combines that commercial background with the leadership development practice, which lends a different perspective when working with senior leaders on the business questions behind the people questions.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, an accredited NoLimits Executive Coach, and a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He holds a degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Sussex. With Janet, he is co-author of The RAPID Coach, forthcoming. Martin also leads the OwnMentor AI tool development work, which is now a core part of how the firm delivers.
Methods and credentials.
The work is informed by accredited tools and methods, including MBTI, FIRO-B, the TKI conflict instrument, Extended DISC, OPQ and a number of leadership 360 instruments. Coaching practice is accredited and supervised. Methods are chosen for fit with the brief, not for affiliation with any single school.
